BitDevs Application (Sponsorship)

About BitDevs
BitDevs are monthly meetups for people interested in discussing and learning about Bitcoin. The meetups are structured as Socratic Seminars, where participants collectively review topics, recent developments, research, and technical proposals in the Bitcoin ecosystem. This format ensures that sessions remain high-quality, technical, and developer-focused.
Rules of Engagement
BitDevs meetups must focus strictly on Bitcoin and Bitcoin development topics.
Sessions should follow the Socratic Seminar format or a similar structured, technical approach.
Organizers should be committed to hosting consistent monthly meetups.
At least two reliable organizers must be identified to lead and sustain the community.
Proposals must demonstrate local developer demand and interest in technical Bitcoin discussions.
Btrust’s Role in Supporting BitDevs in Africa
Btrust sponsors selected BitDevs locations across Africa as part of its mission to support the growth of local Bitcoin developer communities in the Global South. While BitDevs is not a Btrust initiative, we provide financial and operational support to organizers who demonstrate commitment to running sustainable, developer-focused meetups. Our goal is to ensure that communities have the resources to thrive while maintaining the core identity of BitDevs.
